How do I get notified when a favorite actor or director has a new movie?
Follow them in Newvies. You'll get reminders 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before each of their upcoming movies comes out, plus an alert on release day itself, delivered at the local time you choose.
Can Newvies tell me when a movie hits digital or streaming?
Yes. Alongside theatrical release alerts, Newvies Pro adds a day-of notification when a film you're tracking becomes available digitally at home.
Do the release dates match my country?
Yes. Newvies reads your country from your device and dates your feed and your alerts for cinemas near you. You can set it by hand in settings so travel never re-dates your feed.
Is Newvies free?
Yes. The personalized feed, the release calendar, saving and hiding films, and every theatrical release alert are free, along with 50 follows and 3 studios. Newvies Pro is an optional subscription that removes those limits and adds digital release alerts and a delivery time of your choosing. Cancelling never deletes a follow.
Where does the movie data come from?
Film, cast, and crew data comes from The Movie Database (TMDB). Newvies uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
